Keşif, kıtadaki bilinen İslami tarihini değiştireceği düşünülüyor. <o:p></o:p></SPAN></p> <P class="MsoNormal c1"><SPAN class=c2>Afrika Uluslararası Üniversitesi’nde İslami Araştırmalar Profesörü Dr. Hasan el-Şaiki TIMETURK’e şunları aktardı: “Birkaç ay önce Hartum’dan bir ilkokul öğretmeni Nawa’ya bir düğüne gitmiş. Orada, bölgede eski bir camiden söz edildiğini duymuş, sonrasında resimlerini çekmiş ve gazetelerde yayınladı. Bağlantıya geçtim ve Nawa’ya kendim araştırmaya gittim”.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></p> <P class="MsoNormal c1"><SPAN class=c2>El-Şaiki, bölgeye gittiğinde, Afrika sahabeleri ve tabiin tarihi hakkında geniş bir yazıt ve üzerinde “Allah’ın rahmeti Yezid ibn Ebu Habib’in üzerine olsun” yazan bir köşe taşı bulmuş. <o:p></o:p></SPAN></p> <P class="MsoNormal c1"><SPAN class=c2>İslami araştırmalar profesörünü on yıldan fazla süredir hicri 2. Yüzyılda Mısır’da yaşamış Nübyeli tabiin ve alim İbni Ebu Habib’in hikayesini araştırıyor. Prof. Şaiki, Afrika sahabeleri hakkında yüksek lisans tezini hazırlarken Kuzey Sudan’dan Nübyeli tabiin Yezid’le karşılaşmış ve daha sonra kitap haline getirdiği doktora tezini de onun üzerine hazırlamış. <o:p></o:p></SPAN></p> <P class="MsoNormal c1"><SPAN class=c2>İbni Ebu Habib, Dongola’dan Mısır’a getirilen Nübyeli bir savaş esirinin oğlu. Eski Kahire’de (el-Fostat) köle (mawla) olarak yetiştirilmiş. Daha sonra özellikle hadis gibi İslami bilimlerde edindiği başarılar üzerine azat edilmiş. El-Şaiki, “Ümeyye Halifesi Ömer Bin Abdülaziz zamanında yaşadı ve halife onu Mısır’a müftü olarak atadı” diye açıklıyor. <o:p></o:p></SPAN></p> <P class="MsoNormal c1"><SPAN class=c2>Halife hadislerin toplanması ve dokümantasyonunu emredince, Yezid 500’den fazla hadis toplayarak önemli bir rol oynamış. <o:p></o:p></SPAN></p> <P class="MsoNormal c1"><SPAN class=c2>El-Şaiki, ibni Ebu Habi’in öğrenciler arasında tanınmış Mısırlı alim el-Layd ibni Saad gibi isimlere işaret ediyor. Caminin görünüşü ve yapılış tarzı eski Dongola’daki Abdullah ibni Ebu Sarh camisine benziyor. <o:p></o:p></SPAN></p> <P class="MsoNormal c1"><SPAN class=c2>İbni Ebu Sarh, MS 8. Yüzyılda Nübye’yi (kuzey ve merkezi Sudan ile güney Mısır) fethetmeye çalışan Müslüman komutanın adı. Nübyelilerin sert mukavemetiyle karşılaşınca barış anlaşması imzaladı. <o:p></o:p></SPAN></p> <P class="MsoNormal c1"><SPAN class=c2>Bakt adıyla bilinen anlaşma 6 yüzyıl boyunca Mısır-Nübye ilişkilerini şekillendirdi.
